MAX Lounge Bloody Mary
“Wait… a healthcare provider who actually listens to me?!?” - Recent Patient
I’m not sure how to feel about comments like this. On the one hand, I am pleased to exceed my patient’s expectations… but on the other, it is a sad commentary on our current healthcare system. The way I practice - the way I feel all healthcare providers should practice - is to ensure our patients realize they are an integral, influential part of their healthcare team. I may be the movement expert, but my patients are both the owners and experts on their bodies. Only they can fully know what they are experiencing. And, the better I can hear and understand what they are experiencing and wanting to experience, the better I can help them achieve their goals. I liken this to an experience I had at the MAX at Mirabeau recently.
My wife and I were told about the Bloody Mary bar at the Max and I was curious. And so, we planned a morning date to try it out. I had only had one or two in my life and so had no idea what to order. Upon seeing my inexperience, the expert bar-keep started asking questions. Once he had an idea of the types of flavors I tend to enjoy, he went to work crafting a masterpiece specific to my preferences. As I watched him work and reflected on how he navigated deciding what ingredients would exceed my expectations, I couldn’t help but draw a connection to what I hope clients of Dotson Physiotherapy experience when working with me. And, as I enjoyed the three-course-meal-in-a-cup, I fondly reflected on the satisfied feedback I receive from patients on a regular basis.
If you want to experience healthcare the way it should be, I encourage you to give Dotson Physiotherapy a call or send us an email. We specialize in helping people get the results they have been looking for, even if it means connecting them with a different provider. This is especially true of those who have felt let down by healthcare providers in the past.
